Sabantuy is a festival in honor of harvesting, demonstrating strength and dexterity, propagating a healthy lifestyle. It has a centuries-old history, preserved its traditions today. The word "sabantui" comes from the Turkic "Saban" - plow and "tui" - a holiday.

It is celebrated in June in honor of the completion of spring sowing works. This year, the entire Sabantuy site was divided into thematic zones: a stage, a concert platform, a photo exhibition, a shopping tent and sports grounds.

With a welcoming speech to all present, Deputy Chairman of the Akmola Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, Maral Dzhakupov and Chairman of the Association of Tatars and Bashkirs of the Akmola region, Raphael Sulkarnaev addressed.

The concert program was opened by the well-known ensemble "Galiyabanu", and concert numbers continued, prepared by the NGO "Korean Ethnocultural Center" Chinson "," Akmola Oblast Chechen-Ingush Society "Vainakh", "Russian Community of Akmola Region", "Chuvash Ethno-Cultural Center".

A pleasant surprise was the appearance on the stage of guests from Tatarstan - the People's Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Ferdinand Fathi and the laureate of the festivals Yazilya Mukhammadiev who read the welcome address of the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and presented the medal "For Great Service to the Tatar People", established by the World Tatar Congress, the Chairman of the Rafailu Center Sulkarnaeva and Ferae Zagreeva. Certificates from the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan were given to the participants of the ensemble "Galiyaban" Farida Khanafiyeva, Gulsina Fazlyeva, Svetlana Ibragimova and Hurriy Fatkeev.

Meanwhile, hot battles in arm-wrestling, kettlebell lifting sports broke out on sports grounds. The winner in the struggle "Tatarcha kursh" Kuanysh Dosbaev claimed the main prize - a live lamb. The bravest tried to climb the column with valuable prizes. And some succeeded!

And at this time on an improvised Tatar court yard volunteers from the college of culture named after Akan-seri entertained children. Funny contests, dances and competitions were a success for children, because no one was left without a gift!

According to the participants, Sabantuy-2017 in Kokshetau has truly become a multinational, universal holiday of unity and harmony, friendship and work.
