In the Karaganda region on the basis of local and regional libraries started the republican action "Ak oramal", dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the closure of the nuclear test site in Semipalatinsk and promotion Manifesto "Peace. XXI Century ", voiced by N.A. Nazarbayev at the IV Summit on Nuclear Security in Washington.

In order to support the Karaganda Regional Special Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired Citizens held a series of events, the ideological content of which was aimed at promoting objectives expressed by the Head of State in his speech.

These include the presentation of the book-illustrative exhibition "Birlik bar jerde - beybіt omir bar", which took place July 29, in the reading room of the library.

Representatives of the public association of visually impaired people «Bars» attended the event.

According to the organizers, presentation of the book carried a special advertising-informational method that combines the awareness of readers with disabilities to new and better literature. Also, promoting the best literature in a variety of media, including traditional and not to explain the importance of strengthening national and ideological values ​​of all-kazakhstan identity at the present stage, the organizers have focused on the spiritual and deep philosophical meaning underlying the action "Ak oramal".

In addition, at August 10 were held a literary-sports competition "Healthy family - it is fashionable" among the different categories and ages, dedicated to the promotion of peace and harmony, customs of the Kazakh people. The main objective of the contest was to unite the common efforts and the efforts of all women of multinational country and millions of people around the world to prevent the mistakes of the past, to keep the peace, tranquility and stability for the future generatio.

Recently the library has gathered fans of the books to the Festival of national literatures "Under shanyrak of peace, unity, work." Meeting with readers was held under general call  to resolve disputes through negotiation, unification of the entire society against the war, terrorism and bloodshed.

All public events that took place in support of the republican action «Ak oramal" were aimed at the consolidation of all its citizens, regardless of ethnic origin, social, religious or other affiliation around the ideas of peace and harmony, the release of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction, consistent eradication of the war and the strengthening of peace and friendship.
